The 2014 Annual Research Meeting Call for Abstracts is Open!

ISNVD Call for Abstracts

Abstract Deadline: Sunday, December 22, 2013 11:59 p.m. EST
The presentation of venous abnormalities and their contribution to neurological disease is the cornerstone of this year’s annual meeting, offering researchers the opportunity to share important findings with providers and scientists who can put the research into action. 

Abstracts are invited for six categories:

  • A Multi-modality Diagnostic Approach for Extracranial Venous Disease
  • The Treatment of Abnormal Venous Flow
  • Other Neurological Diseases
  • Quantifying Flow in Neurological Diseases
  • Monitoring Hemodynamics of the Brain 
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Abstract submitters may also choose to be considered for the Young Investigator Award. 

Opportunities for Authors

Both podium presentations and poster presentations are being accepted. Only speakers selected for podium and digital poster presentations through the call for abstracts are eligible for a discounted registration rate.

The 2014 Annual Research Meeting Young Investigator Award.

The Young Investigator Award was created to stimulate the next generation of scientists to submit a newer, creative idea for abstract consideration. The main theme for the 2014 ISNVD Young Investigator’s Award is “Venous abnormalities and their contribution to neurological disease.” 

Applications for the Young Investigator Award are being accepted from anyone up to age 35, from any specialty, with any level of training. There is no need to be an ISNVD memeber to be considered for the Young Investigator Award.

ISNVD will be accepting both podium presentations as well as posters.  

Opportunities for Authors

The Young Investigator Award offers a prize $500 award for the best abstract.

Call for Abstracts General Information

Electronic Submission

All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the official ISNVD abstract submission website.  Paper abstract submissions will not be accepted.

Notification of Acceptance

Notifications of abstract acceptance or rejection will be e-mailed to the abstract submission account holder on January 15th, 2014.

Submission Categories

Call for Abstracts Instructions:

The initial abstract submission should be a short, concise description of your research with no more than 300 words with ½ inch margins and a font of Times New Roman - 12.  This initial paper should include:

  • Background
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
  • Keywords
  • If podium presentation or poster
  • In addition to and separate from the initial abstract the ISNVD requires a Disclosure and Conflict of Interest statement.
  • A copy of a passport and CV is required for all Young Investigator Award applicants but not for regular abstract submissions. 

Disclosures

  • In keeping with ACCME standards, the ISNVD requires a Disclosure and Conflict of Interest statement from each abstract author. Authors must disclose sponsors or funding agencies supporting their particular project when completing their disclosure form. 
  • Conflicts of Interest: For the 12 months preceding this activity, please indicate the relevant companies (not dollar amounts) with which you had - or not - the following types of relationships: honoraria for speaking or moderating, compensation for consulting work, ownership of common stock and any companies who have supported your research or clinical trials within the last year. The Conflict of Interest declaration electronic form is located on the submission form. 

Prior Presentation/Publication

The ISNVD is committed to the dissemination of health services research. The ISNVD does not have any restrictions regarding previous publication. As long as the work has not been presented at an ISNVD meeting in the past, it may be submitted.
